Bronze is WEIRD | dextersworkshop

September 10, 2016. I also took a bit of inspiration from my home town, and the Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church, which follows a similar color palate. It’s actually kind of a dump inside. As you can see, the colors range from green to red to brown to black and all sorts of bizarre combinations. Mind you, this is a very small selection of the images I took, representing the most strikingly different color patterns I saw. At this point I realized that if I kept going in this direction, and start...

Ash Waste Mutants of Transcore Hive
http://www.exprofundis.com/mutants-of-transcore-hive-tsokag-snogoag-and-topoak
Mutants of Transcore Hive: Tsokag, Snogoag, and Topoak. Scaws of Transcore Hive. These mutants will be released as separate posts over the next week or so, alongside installments of a short story, below. I am not much of a writer so be kind! It follows a main character which there is no miniature for (or plans for at this time) but it’s based on Rhysia, and the ruined hive of Transcore where these mutants are known as scaws to the indigenous population. A blue goliath slowly wandered in the heavens. ...

Mutants of Transcore Hive: Nukki, Seet, and Yag the Wyrd. Scaws of Transcore Hive. He’s not the brightest of them, but he’s sneaky, and does what he’s told! Seet is Yag’s loyal servant. He is the smallest mutant in the tribe, but he has been known to bring down much larger prey with his shocker-stick. Calb’s Dream: Part 7. And it was holding a grenade launcher… looking right at him. His mind raced with desperation. It was the one, he knew. The one in his mind. It was a small thing, with a grotesq...Hello...

August 20th, 2013. This is the first time in a looooong time I’ve actually had a spare 2 minutes to myself to get on here. Lots and lots of work has been keeping me away (but that is aways a good thing). 13 Responses to “Wiltrichs Is Back! Said on August 20th, 2013. Glad to hear you’re back. Can’t wait to see what. The God Machines: Warlord concept: Detailed Mock up
http://thegodmachines.blogspot.com/2015/07/warlord-concept-detailed-mock-up.html
Monday, 20 July 2015. Warlord concept: Detailed Mock up. Starting to rethink some of my filigree patterns now I look at the shapes and lay down details in the concept. I thought I had a lot more room, but this may end up looking more messy than detailed. The next stage is to mock up the entire titan and see how it looks, with the colour scheme and freehand. And any minor alterations in pose. 20 July 2015 at 08:40. 20 July 2015 at 10:25. Ooh That looks awesome. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The God Machines: August 2015
http://thegodmachines.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 18 August 2015. Heavy Metal, soft colours. I'm back from two weeks of wedding and honeymoon and stag weekend. Feeling refreshed and inspired! So many new ideas for the titan. But this post will be focusing on what I've done since my last update. So lets start with the super-structure. The giant-lumps of iron and steel that wont be replaced because they are basically indestructible. So here is a breakdown of how I approched this section. There is no technique to speak of for this. Spray it si...

The God Machines: How I learned to love marble
http://thegodmachines.blogspot.com/2015/07/how-i-learned-to-love-marble.html
Thursday, 23 July 2015. How I learned to love marble. After nearly a month of building, planning, and practice. I have finally placed brush to resin. And low, it was good! Measure twice cut once, as someone probably always used to say, the practice and concept phases are really paying off now. So here is a run down of how I did it. First off I asked the community a harassing amount of questions and got some fantastic ideas, then watched a load of the Painting Buddha. Next was sponging. Held in tweeze...
