Keeper of the Home: July 2007
http://myhomeandfamily.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Keeper of the Home. Friday, July 27, 2007. Change the Bag, Stupid! I never claimed to be a domestic goddess, but vacuuming isn't brain surgery. It's not a high skill task. My 2 yo has mastered the art with his tiny Dirt Devil. But I've managed to mess it up a few times. Last month, I found a new (to me) vacuum at a yard sale. It was $15. That's a lot for me to spend on one item at a yard sale. But I really. It turns out that I had bought myself a $300, self-propelled Hoover Wind Tunnel. I changed the bag...

Keeper of the Home. Wednesday, December 19, 2007. Wife of the Year. I must be the most wonderful wife in the world. I just copied all of dh's cds onto the computer so he can put them on his mp3 player. Although, I guess if I was really a wonderful wife, I'd buy him some cds from this millenium. LOL Now, if I could only figure out how to get his. Saved on the computer. really. Sunday, December 2, 2007. Christmas Decorating on a Budget. Well, the brand new tree isn't exactly. We also have brand new stockin...

Keeper of the Home: November 2007
http://myhomeandfamily.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Keeper of the Home. Wednesday, November 28, 2007. I don't know how Wednesday night church surprises me every week, but it just seems to sneak up on me. This evening was no exception so we were rushing around trying to get everyone clean before we left. That led to me putting Ryan in my shower while the littles took their baths in the boys' bathroom. I've told him and told him to use a washcloth! It seems ingenious at first! First off, if you've never driven a car/shopping cart, you should know that they'...

Keeper of the Home: Toddler Time Taker
http://myhomeandfamily.blogspot.com/2008/02/toddler-time-taker.html
Keeper of the Home. Tuesday, February 12, 2008. It seemed like such a simple idea when I read it on someone's blog (sorry, I can't remember where or I'd give you credit! Simply place a big mixing bowl in the sink, add some water, and give the bored and pesky toddler some spices to mix in his soup. So, when my bored and pesky toddler wouldn't let me fix dinner tonight, I set up a cooking station for him, too. It worked! He was entertained for over a half hour! It works for me! Keeper of the Home: April 2008
http://myhomeandfamily.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Keeper of the Home. Friday, April 11, 2008. Ask me how many loads of laundry I've done today. Okay, I'll tell you. One load of darks. One load of blue/green. One load of jeans. One load of red/yellow. One load of towels. One load of whites. And just as that sixth load went in the dryer, Matthew walked in carrying his poopy underwear. Apparently, he didn't just poop his pants during his nap, but he managed to smear it all over his sheets. So you can add. 7 one load of sheets. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Keeper of the Home: January 2008
http://myhomeandfamily.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Keeper of the Home. Monday, January 14, 2008. I've got a black thumb. I'm notoriously bad at keeping plants alive. I've killed more than I'd like to admit before I finally gave up on plants. But a couple years ago, my mother-in-law, who also has a black thumb, gave me a couple potted plants. I guess she figured I could kill them just as quickly as she could and she wouldn't have the rotting remains in her house! So why am I offering advice on saving your plants for my very first WFMW? Here's a couple of ...

Keeper of the Home: Devilish Easter Eggs
http://myhomeandfamily.blogspot.com/2008/03/devilish-easter-eggs.html
Keeper of the Home. Tuesday, March 18, 2008. My boys just love coloring Easter eggs. but they're not so much into. Them I can't blame them. Cold boiled eggs aren't my favorite treat either. especially when competing against Reeses eggs and chocolate bunnies. But with the price of eggs these days, I certainly can't toss them. What's a girl to do with a dozen boiled eggs that usually turn out a pukey shade of brown? Peel off that ugly shell and make them yummy! For more Works for Me Wednesday. I'm the Mom&...
