September | 2010 | Two-wheeled (and other) misadventures
https://cyclochris.wordpress.com/2010/09
Two-wheeled (and other) misadventures. Monthly Archives: September 2010. September 23, 2010. Raleigh is showing a new SSCXWC frame at Interbike 2010. It’s carbon goodness with a belt drive. Mmm. That’s not a great picture of it. There’s more of this eye candy on CX magazine’s site. Wish I could figure how to afford and fly to Seattle for this year’s Single Speed Cyclocross World Championships. Perhaps the Singlespeed Intergalatic Championship at Staten Island CX. In mid-November will have to do. I did mo...

Ahem | Two-wheeled (and other) misadventures

Two-wheeled (and other) misadventures. Power-to-weight up the Chimney. Charmed by CX in the City →. January 6, 2010. Just hibernating as I learn to play on Facebook and Twitter. I do want to point out to the old woman driving the silver Lexus with the fur coat and bug-eye glasses and turning from Colley Ave. onto 20th Street that, yes, bicycles do have the right-of-way. Your horn is still ringing in my ears. This entry was posted in biking. Power-to-weight up the Chimney. Charmed by CX in the City →.

Hot new helmet from Sweden | Two-wheeled (and other) misadventures

Two-wheeled (and other) misadventures. Tongue-wagging and flying in Richmond. In Belgium, cyclocross = NASCAR →. Hot new helmet from Sweden. October 20, 2010. It’s an airbag for your skull, designed for biking. Wonder how long before this is accepted for UCI/USAC events? Never) Here’s a video of the helmet in action! Found this over from some bike-commuting co-workers who sent me the link. This entry was posted in biking. Tongue-wagging and flying in Richmond. In Belgium, cyclocross = NASCAR →.

Two-wheeled (and other) misadventures. Me likey →. Charmed by CX in the City. September 20, 2010. No, I haven’t been blogging. Facebook and Twitter have proved distracting, but I raced the season’s first cyclocross race Sunday in Baltimore: Charm City CX. I raced singlespeed by choice. I wanted to test my new rig – a Raleigh SSCXWC. I powered through the sand pit when I could without running into traffic and railed some corners on a few sweet, swoopy downhills. My finishing place was 68th, so I made it u...

fixedhooligan1: More old stuff
http://fixedhooligan1.blogspot.com/2011/11/more-old-stuff.html
West coast, West Virginia. Friday, November 25, 2011. Ok time to take a break from the kids for a second. We will get back to that soon enough! Here is the race bike after it's new paint job. Looking back the bike never needed a paint job it is after all a "track" bike. Of course i couldn't help doing somthing to it. But now I do feel bad because when these pics where taken i had spent a lot of hours in the paint booth and poor Tara was dealing with newborn Izzy. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Nine Mile Skid: December 2006
http://ninemileskid.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 11, 2006. Tagged. OK I'll Play along. 1 I spent 7 years in the Iowa Army National Guard as mechanic. I was in Desert Shield/Storm, hay hauling across Iowa, and flood duty in '93. 2 I was the world's biggest gun nut. I loved big bore handguns and used to reload my own ammo and cast my own bullets. I was ticketed for blasting a squirrel from my car window with a .357 magnum at Spring Park. 4 I hate bike clothes! 5 I formed the Muni Militia. 6 I juggle fire. Posted by Joe at 10:07 PM. Mojoe...

Noah and I went out for some geocaching. This morning and we found this micro cache. This is the smallest cache that we've ever found, but somehow, we found it quickly. There's just enough room inside for a tiny scrap of paper on whcich we signed our initials. Posted by Joe at 7:12 PM. Links to this post. Links to this post.

Up All Night: Summertime
http://bigwicknasty.blogspot.com/2009/04/summertime.html
Wednesday, April 22, 2009. Summertime is well known to me as not the time when classes are over, not the time to go to the beach, but rather the time of year when women can get away with wearing as little clothes as possible. Its a great thing; the mini skirt, the fantastically too tight white tank top, and the use of the bikini top as a shirt. This picture came from our dear friends over at www.thedanzatap.com.
