Why be a tree activist? | Green Owl Druid

Musings of a Treehugger, Veg Head, Knitter and Hooker, Brighidine devotee and flametender and general weirdo. Why be a tree activist? November 14, 2016. This is so true. I especially “love” comments like “you have been very busy again on Facebook recently…” when I meet somebody in real life and I know they are actually part of the problem. If you’ve ever tried activism, you will know how good the odds are of being hassled over your choices. Worried about refugees? Worried about poverty in the UK? You are...

Musings of a Treehugger, Veg Head, Knitter and Hooker, Brighidine devotee and flametender and general weirdo. November 8, 2016. November 8, 2016. I have always loved Beltaine, one of the Celtic fire festivals – it has the same energies and liminal feeling as Samhain and it marks the start of Summer in South Africa. It is getting light earlier in the mornings, it is generally much warmer and the smell of Imphepho penetrates the air. 8220;Summer is here! The weekend before Beltaine started with a bang!

http://thedaintymuse.blogspot.com/2014/05/experimenting-with-tiered-herb-gardens.html
Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Experimenting with Tiered Herb Gardens. My 1st attempt at Tiered Herb Gardens. Below are some pictures of what you will need:. 1 Garden soil. I prefer Miracle Gro brand; make sure you get the soil that is meant for vegetables! 2 Variously sized pots. What I have here are pots I found in my garage, which I supplemented with some Menard's pots. Largest pot on bottom, smallest at top. :). I chose only 2 tiers due to non attachment of pots. Please see another example here at:. Realiz...

Wednesday, April 2, 2014. OK lets talk drain cleaning suggestions. This is called a Zip It. Use this once every 2 months for a clog free kitchen, bathroom, tub and laundry drain. Information on this product is available at http:/ zipitclean.com/. But is also available at most home improvement stores for $4 and under. Do not use DRAIN CLEANER EVER. Lughnasadh or Lammas is quickly approaching and here is a vegetarian / vegan recipe for us Veg Heads:. Barley is one of the grains honored in harvest folklore throughout history, especially around the Lammas sabbat. It’s a filling sort of grain, and lends itself beautifully to a hearty soup, especially when you add wild mushrooms.
